Ok im starting a new website and what the website is goin to contain is a forum ipb 2.1 i think it is and a homepage and thats about all. I have never done anything like this b4 so i wat i need to kno is when buying the domain what is the domain gonna need. I mean like space and everything
When you are buying a domain, you will have to purchase hosting as well for an additional cost. I am not sure how much bandwidth you will need to look for but, with my host I get 10Gb a day worth or transfer.

You can get a domain from a number of site, I bought mine from godaddy.com, as for hosting, google it as well as domain names. Hosting will depend on the amount of bandwidth and space you want, and I am not sure how much space you will need to run a website and forum. The forums wont take up too much space as long as you dont have alot of people uploading files to it.

Forums mostly take like 250 mb webspace. I don't know what kind of site you want so I can't really say how much bandwidth and webspace you will need. I recommend godaddy.com for a cheap domain name (for a .com domain like $10 per year) and dark-hope.com has some real good hosting plans, they also have great service so they can definitely help you out.
