Firefox is bulky, Uses up too much resources. However it has faster browsing and useful add ons. Firefox also seems to be having a lot of critical bugs right now. The add ons include advert blockers and a few other things. So if you dont want adds and want some other add ons like control your music player VIA firefox then get firefox.

Opera you can DL for free, but it leaves a Advert at the top so you need to buy it to make it go away. However its fast, smooth and VERY useful for someone like me. If you don;t need some pesky addons but want faster browsing and eazier ways to do thins Opera is your program.

Personally I recomnd Opera, its much safer than Firefox, and less cluttered.

    Let me geuss, buy it?

Personally i prefer opera because the tab system is more advanced and more useful than firefoxes, and it becomes more useful when needing to close and re-open porn quickly. It uses less memory and takes up less room than firefox. Customization of the opera apearance is alot easier. It is proven to be more secure while alot of firefox exploits have been released over the last few weaks. The pop-up blocker is more advanced; you can choose whether to block all pop-ups , open all only only open wanted pop-ups or block all unwanted pop-ups. It's very usefull for people developing websites because it allows you to view a website in user mode and author mode, so you can select how you want to view webpages, you can also see what your website would look like in a mobile device. You can also set it too save what pages you went on so when you shut down your computer and then turn it back on the same pages that you visited will still be there.
So i think opera is better, i like firefox but the only reason i think people think it is better is because of bandwagon jumpers.

    You know where you stand...

Anyhoo, I got an offer from somewhere for a full copy of Opera and I jumped on it. I haven't installed it yet because my computer is still gone. But I will on my new computer. I'll just leave Firefox on this one.

Firefox- good, lot of add-ons, fast, free, friendly

Opera- fast, ad-supported if not paid for (or use a keygen), accepts css and css2 unlike FireFox which accepts little css.

Bottom line: Firefox for safe and fast browsing, Opera for viewing gfx sites.

Use both of them pretty much the same...

    Opera is faultless.

It's the fastest, smoothest, safest browser available, yeah it comes with ads but they can be 'got rid of' quite easliy.

Firefox is slower, unsafer and reads code terribly when compared to opera.

With anyone with half a brain - opera is the only answer.

I prefer Firefox and I have tried Opera and changed for one simple reason. When in forums and you paste a http link into it and you highlight it and press the code and an open and close code command should appear at either side of the link opera doesnt support that and it has to be done manually. Also I forgot Opera doesnt allow ActiveX as it's a major security problem, personally I saw it as a browser that took to much control over what I wanted to view.
