Ignore whut everyone said as some ideas are too much for your problem.

    Do this:

    go to www.download.com

    saerch for

    CCleaner

download it, install it and run it. If you havn't cleaned your hard drivein a long time then this should free up some of your space.

Delete songs you don't listen to.

Also un-install Ares 1.8.1 - and install Limewire.

Go to your My computer. Then Local Disk, Then program files and delete any folders you don't need, often folders get left behind here after un-installations.

Pictures. Delete any you dont need. Make sure you empty your recycle bin.

Thats all I have that isn't darastic. These are simply methods and can be very effective.

ok. read this carefully. the same thing happened to me. ok. go to

START > ALL PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > SYSTEM TOOLS > DISK CLEANUP

then it will bring up a box, check all that is there. and hit ok. this deletes all of your temp files and ----. i myself got 22 gigs back from just temporary files. :) dont listen to anyone else. this is a very easy and fast way to clean up your disk.

Your ways a moe time consuming version than mine. Microfost System Cleaner is xtremely slow.

Trust me, CCleaner - its the most effective and eaze to use clean up program around.

For the memory problem - 1 of the sticks might not be inserted properly Check that first (open your case) if it is in properly check if its the same :D

The HD problem - delete anything unnecessary it might be coz u dont go into add/remove programs and uninstalling that way therefore sh*t is still inside your PC HD. Go into add/remove programs and check what you have. Also compare that to the Programs you have in the Programs folder in C Drive or whatever the letter is for your main windows drive.

I forgot what the program was called where it scans the HD and basically brings up everything of whats installed etc someone knows im sure Spy something or maybe something else

=DarkStar - HiJackThis sort of does that...

Hhhmm... Personally I say you should buy a second hard disk :)

One for programs, and games. And one for personal files like pictures and music :)

well wtf. I'm on my dads computer, because I can't get on mine. It keeps asking me for my password when I log in, and i can't remember what i put as my pass. Is it a set password? or did I make it when I installed? If I made it when I installed, i would have for sure got the pass by now...i only use about 3 different ones and I tried all those and more.

Is there any way to bypass this password thing?

PS: the list on my first post was from hijack this :)

haha seems ccleaner is the best program then.

    @ e p i c
Start up your computer and before the windows xp loading screen comes up keep pressing f5. A screen with some selections will come up, choose safe mode. The login screen should come up with the administator acount, select it and it should log up in. Then proceed to go into control panel and change the password for the user acount you want to.
Some of this might be wrong as i've just typed this off the top of my head, ill test it out in a minute and will update this post.

Okay I can help you but I need some data. Do these in order that they are listed.

    Do Cntrl-Alt-Delete

    Go to the process taskbar

Than click on memory usage until the application with the most memory pops up. Read through that list and take a screen shot so I can look through it.

Also while you are there go to preformance and take a screenshot. If you could host these screenshots I can help you. I know its not a virus or trojan they do the opposite they delete your files or in a trojans case sends file information.

Anyway your best bet if nothing is working is to bring it to some professionals. Not that I am ;) But compUSA, Circut City, Best Buy, someplace where there are people that can look at you prblem directly. Hope this helps.
