well, now i know which two systems i want to buy. the controller on the ps3 looks a bit.... odd... i havent seen much of the nintendo revolution yet, but i may be getting the xbox 360 after all, unless ps3 comes back with some good games.... nintendo systems always have some addictive game, in my case, super smash bros. melee. but thats messed up... ~s0017
That does nothing, reason Sony is doing this is the cost of the items to put into it. Do you wanna spend 1000$ to buy a little box????
ok.. well ps3 most likely wont be too much of a success but ya never know i mean from their E3 videos it looks like they had a lot to work on.. but all this crap going on looks like they're in deep **** they gotta get their act together because if this is how its gona be id rather have the xbox 360 because really what it all winds down to is fun and for some people now competiton in my view good graphics are good in a game but a game that is fun and has a big community is MUCH better. look at counter strike for example its graphics arent that great but many people still play it
it's disappointing but I don't care... <-------Sony Fan 4 Life! will be getting Nintendo Revolution and PS3
They are probably reading reviews from people saying they don't like the controller's what i think is that they will make a more then 1 model of controllers as I'm sure you will be able to use the ps2 controller on the ps3 if not well w/e look at the xbox controller when people first saw it they were like eww i like ps2 better then they got the hang of it same sh!t will happen with ps3.
im sure things will drastically change and everyone will be like ooo yay sony owns... but i plan on getting one regardless of all these rumors.. sony fan for life : )~
i cant believe this... i think that this is just a rumour and that it will change alot in another year or 2 when it actually does get released so there is no point getting all dissapointed now when nothing is finalised, not even the name
lmao socom 4 they have said nothing about a socom 4 especially since socom3 isnt even out yet you dont even know if there will be one
This was based on the speculation of the PS3 coming out in 2007, and I wrote all this on MLG forums from a quote, so to keep any confusion out, I will post the quote and my post. </div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>QUOTE ("WONDERLIBERTARIAN")</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'>But they're also risking it with the developers, if they do wait then all of the next gen games, all of the big ones that people are going to be excited about are going to be released on the 360, and the M$ people will have an extra year to build up the games on the 360 and to have relationships with game developers. This means that in Sony's quiet year of 2006 M$ will be loading up the exclusives and Sony won't be able to do a thing about it unless it can talk developers into waiting a year to put their games on a more powerful system. But Game Developers don't make money off of promises of a more powerful system coming up. If this happens and Sony does stall the release then they will spend the next year watching every significant game being released on the XBox 360, they will then come up with their more powerful system, who has been in experimental stages and constantly changing the way that developers need to confront it for over a year, which means that developers have either ditched them for M$ or spent a year paying for development teams to work on keeping their games up to date with the ever changing Sony tech, nothing ever getting past a beta, nothing ever getting produced. And then the PS3 comes out, flashier than the 360 (the fact that Sony is talking about this as a reason means that Sony is scared about the ratio between the cost gap and the tech gap of the 360 and the PS3 right now, if the PS3 is in fact more powerful, it is not powerful enough over the 360 to justify its cost over the 360). However from what I've read the 360 has its own future-proofing in a limited sort of upgradeablity. This could mean blue-ray, it could mean PC-like capacity for upgrading (which is too much, IMHO, and should be avoided. In the end this isn't a PC, this is a Console for Gaming). If this were done in an easy enough way, a way that doesn't have those of us who can't use technology worth much of a damn (I'm impared in this regard) electrocuting ourselves brutally to death, then this would mean that the PS3's vaunted tech gap is largely closed and Sony is pwned in all aspects of the industry and can just go back to Japan, if the 360 didn't take that market over too. Even the thought of this is indicitave of nothing but desparation in the Sony camp.[/b][/quote] Very good points, but what you aren't looking at is, consoles are spanning to multiplayer games, there probably won't be hardly any that won't be multiplayer. Sony releasing the Ps3 late, almost puts Xbox 360 as a generation behind, almost closing off multiplayer for 360 if Ps3 is just as good maybe better than 360. No developer wants to make games for a old console when the main feature (multiplayer) may not be widely used. This all meaning, if Ps3 is as big of a machine as it is being hyped up to be, or more by the time they release it, would destroy Xbox 360 Multiplayer, as when kids, or people of all kinds, have a new console available, one thats better (Ps3 should be better being released over a year later) thus as mentioned earlier, why would a developer make a game where there aren't as many people playing it anymore? I mean, sure some might go back to the oldie console and try out the campaign or something if its good, but they might lose a lot of sales. Ergo, not wanting to put their game on that platform. But it really just all depends on how the consoles turn out, because if one is a flop, the other one is almost a surefire guarantee to win the console war, or gain an exceptional lead. It does seem like a good idea, but you also have to remember that the Nintendo Revolution is going for the cheap sales, I don't know if they have taken a look at that. Once Revolution hits stores, Ps2 will probably be completely knocked out even with its cheap price, because it being old and Revolution is going for the same exact crowd, but with a newer console. That also will depend on how well the console turns out. I also read that PS2 costs under 99$ to manufacture, and Microsoft would lose lots of money on Xboxes if they lowered their prices to try and compete with it. Maybe Microsoft finds a new more efficient way to manufacture Xboxes. I also seen another way to look at this, think back about 3 and a half years ago, when Xbox price drop occured, a mere maybe 4 or 5 months after release. PS2, the older console, was still competing with the Xbox because of its price drop, and would've obtained a much much stronger lead having more the of game developers as exclusives and would have had a lower price. Thus forcing Xbox price drop. Could it happen again? Only for the other company this time? Reverse roles could place here again, while Xbox360 is selling consoles at the price PS3 might make it down to at this late release, Sony is only selling PS2's maybe not even that as Nintendo Revolution might hop in the early releases as PS3 might not get released. Now by the time PS3 comes out, 360 could be at the price of what a Revolution was selling for at its release, while Revolution could also see a price drop. Now almost rendering the PS2 completely obsolete, perhaps along with the Xbox at this point. Now it looks a whole lot like around late 2001 or early 2002, Nintendo still playing the same role, while it seems Microsoft and Sony have completely switched sides. *Note: These were not points or opinions reflected by me, simply just views to look at, as most conflict with eachother simply for points for others to argue or agree and build more ideas off of, nor do they reflect any or many other countries besides the US simply because some countries choose a favorite, much like Japan with Sony. These would only prove as good views for other countries like Japan if they actually like Xbox 360 a lot more than its previous generation console.
HAHAHAHAHAHHH!! sad for ps3 fans!! that really stinks!!! i never wanted to get ps3 anyways but still dang.... looks like xbox 360 will OWN everything!!
