how do you cope?? post your results, here ya go: One teacher said, "I felt like they were all moving...but slowly. Kinda like, they were breathing." The pictures attached are used to test the level of stress a person can handle. The slower the pictures move, the better your ability of handling stress. Alleged criminals that were tested see them spinning around madly; however, senior citizens and kids see them standing still. None of these images are animated - they are perfectly static:
Thats really strange If you concrentrate you can get them to stop moving. But i guess thats not the point
I can handle stress pretty well then, they are barley moving, but if I look directly at them they dont move. or I may just be considered a senior citizen.
or you must just be a kid...
A kid at heart, but actually in the middle of both I am 30.
A kid at heart, but actually in the middle of both I am 30.
tiny bit older than me i am only 20 :S
the only reaon they would "move" would be because they are positioned as to form 3d objects and the brain tries to make them to conform to such. I can get them to look fairly 2d if I try, but really it is a mind trick, it won't do anything. EDIT: also, don't let yourself go cross eyed...
what your saying is true, it is the way you persieve the images and also the way in which your brain try and works out what the image is... hence making it look as if it is moving or in even simpler terms mind tricks or visual illusions. but lets not over analyze this thread let everybody be amazed
If you concentrate somewhere besides the pictures, you can see it moving, but when I directly look at it, it slows down alot.
its basically your eyes trying to focus on one particular part of the picture and the attention gets drawn to another part of the pic as there is so much going around the part your eyes try to focus on.
