Alrighty. i have some web hosting space that i just got, and im trying to use it to host my png's and such that I make, figuring thats easier than using imageshack or something.

however...whenever i try to upload a .png to the site, it says that it cannot be displayed because it has an error. these pngs work fine through imageshack, but this site doesnt allow them or something.

does anyone know why there is a problem? if so, pelase let me know. thank you.

you answered it yourself, Your host probably doesn't allow .png's to be hosted. Try .jpg or .gif ;).

Yup, just use photobucket or somethind, I haven't had any problems with them, unless the image is too big, then it resizes it.

Dunno if anyones looking, but interestingly enough, I found hte answer to the problem. I guess you cannot upload .png files in ASCII mode, they have to be sent via binary mode, and my FTP wasnt switching automatically. So they kept getting screwed up in the transfer :)

I knew it COULD support them, because the website I run has .png's, but I uploaded them from a differnet computer :)

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

I think your basic ftp settings doesn't allow to see png.
Go into you cpanel (if you have one) and try to look for this option.
