Hey guys. I've had the same computer and equipment for a few years now... in desperate need of an upgrade. Gonna start on the graphics card, because my current GeForce 4200 Ti can't run squat nowadays (was really sad when I couldn't run the BF2 demo. :( )

So, can anyone tell me some good graphics cards that are better than the 4200 Ti (not all that hard), but are cheap and might last me a bit?

I am running a 4600Ti. 128 Mb and runs most things just fine. Only issue I have noticed is when trying to play Doom3, gets a little jumpy from time to time. I play Mohaa and COD and get 135 fps constantly, and it only cost me $80 a year and a half ago. Would be real cheap now.

Well money is an issue so that card is out for him. You need to get something that is 5900 or up if you wanna play BF2. I payed $140 for a Gigabyte 6600GT 256MB but that Chaintech that Logan recommend will work as well since it has better clock speeds since it has DDR3
Blind to be honest you could have bought this http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ductCode=321331 and overclocked to the same speeds and save $100+ on it

I had the Nvidia GeForce Ti 4600 for 3 years. I bought a new one to run BF2 <_< . The new one I got was ATi Radeon 9550 256mb I love it! I can run BF2 on high but it does get jumpy from time to time. IT was real cheap also $100 I think it was at CompUSA.

I buy from them knowing if anything goes wrong , they will have the situation fixed in under 2 days and the warehouse is 15 minutes from me.

They are not that much more expensive then tigerdirect or zipzoomfly.

And your card, for $460 it better run perfect

that 7800 isnt worth the money. my friend has the 6800 Ultra overclocked and it performs better than the 7800 would overclocked.

newegg is one of the cheapest sites ive found, along with zip zoom btw.
