For some reason i couldnt shut down, restart, or anything like that. I could click Start then Turn Off and then try Shutting down. And nothing happend.
So i manually shut down. Now when my computer restarts. it gets a to a certain point and just stops. It wont fully start Windows :(
    Please help.

PS I can start windows using Safe Mode if that helps to clear up this problem. I would just use Safe Mode all the time now, but of course my programs and files arent on there.

Im using Windows XP Home Edition.

Do you have the XP CD? If so, put it into your drive and repair windows. It will be the second choice not the first one that says repair. You will have to go through the steps and get past where you hit F8, then it will ask if you want to install windows or repair, hit repair and let it do its thing.

My CD is at my house. I will be there later today.
But thanks for the info. I thought about it, but couldnt test it yet. Hope it works :)

Should i open Safe Mode then put in the CD? Or put in the CD as soon as i turn on my computer? ^_^

Boot your computer with the CD in. Do almost like you are formatting, but before you format, choose repair.

    yes the second one.
Put it in as soon as your computer boots (before it boots to XP).. so it boots the CD/DVD Rom drive instead of your hard drive.

EDIT: sorri.. took me too long to click Reply lol.
