Text Tool Problem

When i type i just see the a black square of were ur text should come out.....my background is white my color im going to use is black .... when i write w/e i want and click on the text layer it says whatever i typed like normal but i cant see the text.... ive had ps for about 4 months.. im not a complete idiot..this is a first

 

umm does it have a outline of some because if it does then you were messing around and hit a button go back there and look for See Text- And Click it

 

thanks for the help but there is no outline.. also this problem happens even after i restart photoshop ooo and another thing i found on the top left there is a T and a thingy to go down i cant access that ;( :blink:

 

I think the prob is in ur fonts. Try changing them or intalling new ones

 

what photoshop version are you using ?

and.. try goin to imageready and inserting some texts ? does it work ? does it have a outline on it but invisible still ?

Grr i hate this thing. Im using photoshop CS...when i made a new acount my new acount could write text so its a option i must have put on mine or something !!! oh and i can write text in image ready
