I have photoshop cs and cs2. Whenever i run photoshop cs then close the program by ending the process from control alt delete, the next time i run it will crash on startup. Also if cs is on and i restart my computer it will crash. But cs2 never gave me that problem.

Have you guys had this prob?

The only remedy i know is completly wipe out cs and install it again.

Exactly, just try re installing. Reinstalling usually fixes most problems

ummm not ending the process and exiting normally would probably solve your problem

yea but that doesnt help the person out. yea i know re install will fix it but if someone actually posts like "oh yea there is a patch, here download it" then thats helpful.

    A reply like this,
"Dont close photoshop like that" is not helpful.

My initial answer is "Don't bootleg stuff."

Honestly, though, your best option is a clean install.
Or if by the grace of God, you're on a Mac, you could do a permissions repair and delete the Photoshop preference file (forget where it's at).
