Hey, I need to know whether I can add RAM (256 stick) to a Dell 1800 series. I'm not that great with the insides of computers, but I know how to add RAM. I am currently on 2.66 ghz, so will that be enuff to support my 256 extra?

P.S. - I heard only SOME RAM works with Dell computers, so I was wandering if I could just use any?

the best thing to do is open up your box and take the RAM out. Take it up to the store and say I want anohter one or 2 or 3 of these. However many slots you have left and can afford.

^^do exactly what he said. open your computer up and take out the ram then go to circuit city or best buy and tell them that you are looking for same type of ram. then buy the one they tell you will work and go home and put it in an empty slot ;)
