How Do I Use A Style Or Apply It ?

I downloaded like a huge style list from somewhere on google and I don't know how or what there used for. Anyone please care to explain to me? Thanks.

 

I have no idea what your talking about....styles? Do you mean filters?

 

In 3 years of using PS, I've not once used styles. Nor do I want to.

styles(text stylish) are .asl files for photoshop but its for n00bys

 

Go to blending options, hit the tab that says styles. And its kinda like brushes from there. You can load the new ones by selecting the circled arrow on the right-hand side.

Hopefully that is what you are asking.

Styles aren't as bad as they say they are.

The way you prepare your text is through blending options, right?

Why not save the options you applied to that layer and use it again if it looks good.... that is what styles are for.

So, say you apply a 1px stroke, outer glow, etc... save the style, and instead of having to set each layer the way you like it, just load the style. Get it?

 

Yea thats more useful then remembering something like the last settings you used. I'll just try making a sig using some of the styles and hopefully it will turn out good.

 

I havent used them either. But I may try and make my own from the options I always choose.
