Ps Cs2 Help

I don't know if this is the right section but....

K, my PS trial has run out. Which is a bit crap I guess. I got my Dad to get a new one (he's the administrator you see) and he reckons it doesn't work coz when it comes up it says the trial has expired. Doesn't it work because we have already had a trial on the computer?

Also, it says some stuff about a serial number, which I think can make it into the full version? How do I get one of these things?
