    hmm my friend are starting up a chat site wit domain and stuff but am jus wondering wat programs would you use to make a chat site like wats the name of the program u use for the chat stuff ?? :huh: any names of programs plzz :unsure:

    Uhh, Java based chat, Google it, you could use IRC but its al il' complicated... Jst search for a java based chat.

    irc is way better than java but its way harder so yeah java is easy

    There's a few questions you have to ask your host first. A lot of hosting companies don't allow IRC chat to be hosted on their servers, but they'll allow the Java client for irc, as long as it connects to server hosted else where.

    Also PhpMyChat, and EntropyChat might be alright. Just ask your web provider first.

    and irc only works on Unix / Linux based servers neways. The ones for windows are crap mainly.

    i would rather use phpbb with the chat mod in it.

    well there are free channels on mIRC all the time....

    but prolly not what ure lookin for
