Your processor: Is it true the 4800+-X2's are doing better than the FX-55?
You mobo: I recommend going with this: ASUS A8N-SLI Socket 939
GFX Card: If you have enough for that sexy monitor, can't you get an SLI setup of the 7800GTX's?
    Memory: Secksy.
    Harddrives: The more the merrier.
    Monitor: Secksy.

I like your setup, it's very nice. What's the recommended resolution on that monitor? I think I might buy that one, and I don't want to look at tiny icons. I heard the max resolution was 1920x1200, but is that the recommended one?

Very nice setup..almost overkill ^_^ If you could get teh 7800GTX running SLI...then... wow :D
I think that's one of the best rigs I've ever heard anyone own for a while.
I think the 4800 x2 is better than the FX55 on some aspects.

Yup, the AMD X2 4800+ is better than the FX-55 for anything other than the majority of games so far. The new FX-57 (single core) plays most games better than the 4800+ currently because the games are programmed for single core processors. But, that'll change soon enough. I'll see if I can fit in two 7800GTX's in SLI. Thanks for the feedback, everyone.

Dont change that DFI, great for overclocking. Also the latency of the RAM is a bit high, normally they are 2-2-2-6 arent they? Also get a CRT monitor if its for gaming, clearer and faster picture than an LCD monitor.

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ohh goodness that is as said, almost overkill.

the 7800 is extreme, two is definately overkill but still nice.

might I suggest one less seagate and two raptors in RAID just for the OS w/ the seagates as storage.
