You should try out This . It'll help delete some stuff that might be slowing down your comp, you could also play on the lowest settings or use a smaller resolution that whatever you have.

Those optimizers don't work well... I'm sorry to say, but BF2 is a big system pig... If your vid is just a little low you can pick up a radion 9550 for cheap just about anywhere... my little girl is playing BF2 on a p2, 333Mz. 512 mem and a radion 9550(PCI) and her computer does ok... little laggy when daddy is dumping bullets into anything that moves, but still ok... I found a site that tells a person what services to turn off so they don't use resorses<SP?>... I'll go look it up and put a link on here for you....

    Good gaming!

Try and get rid of some stuff you don't need, thats always an effective way to speed it up.

hmm..to free up used memory/processing power -IN XP- you can go into task manager end the processes you dont need (need knowledge of program names) - This will free extra CPU or memory power :D OR Uninstall the games u dont play often as this frees up HD space for virtual memory and SWAP files if im not mistaken -Advice- Do not change the SWAP-Files settings as it may cause instability and exiting (500mb recommended for BF2 - The more free HD space you have the better :D) It cud depend on ur comp spec - a little beneath the min. spec wont do great harm but u will experience laggyness (is that a word-lol) & also depends on the graphics card you already got so low settings - Its a awesome game though but is very CPU and hardware intensive.

    That's gay.

I'm stuck with a GeForce4mx4400, and someone with less than half the power I do is having fun playing the game- and I'm not. ----ing EA...

id say get more ram, clean up any unused programs/files, and run a few spyware/virus scans.

i run my bf2 on medium because i get a high framerate. i can run it on high but it gets choppy. plus medium looks really good anyways, im in awe when i play it, first time i booted it up i had to change my underware a few times. anyways im sure it will run fine if your pc can run d3/hl2.

Mine can play both games, but since EA made the cutoff for gfx cards, I'm screwed.
