Video games don't cause violence in kids its the parents, drugs, sex, porn, and all that ---- on the TV and in the real world that does. Also stress and not knowing how to deal with anger cept to take violance as an action. If you raise your kids up right you wont have these problems. Just cause a Video game has action in it means hey ima get a gun and shoot someone cause I saw it in a video game? Give me a break.
Personally, I think all this is media bull---- trying to take blame off the parents. I constantly play DoD and CS and yet I have no desire to touch a gun. I consider myself a pacifist. My friends prefer to call me a socialist or commie. I despise the army and all of its institutions. If the US starts the draft, I will be the first to ditch. Games don't cause violence, because if they did, I would be out in Aghan right now, and I'm not.. I hate the idea. Bad parenting and bad situations cause violence.
It is mainly the kid. Not always the parent or "media". Everyone ALWAYS blames parents and media, 3/4 times it is the child itself. No one knows what goes through the minds of these people, so you CANNOT make ANY assumptions on who to blame.
I agree with all of this. However, games can lead to accidents. IE. They see something cool on a game, take wrestling for example, they go out and try it and break their neck and die. As for the deliberate killings, well I believe that has nothing to do with the parents and/or games, movies etc. Another good point however, is music. The topics that today's music is based upon (especialy in rap..) Is gang crime, murder, rape, theft etc. Then, if a child thinks that they will gain respect within his/her circle of freinds by actually doing something said in a song they will do it. (Thats if they have no common sense of course)
m with ya man these kids kill a person, and realize that if they blame it on GTA, they will get away scott free because all the attetion will focus onto Rock Star Games North. As for the counter strike all it made me wanna do was dis arm bobms and make me realize every one runs faster with a knife... Note: I am kidding about the counterstrike part.. Even knows that while u run witha knife you will run around a corner and a guy will ahve a pistol, and you will get owned.
I think some kids are naturally violent, and those are the kids who people think are violent because of video games.
personally i don't think u should be exposed to bad things early on in life. the youger ages are when kids don't understand if that is real or not. when ur older u should gradually be exposed if u can't avoid volience that is
k its definite the mental stability of kids, i believe if a kid can handle it then he should play more lol but the ppl who go crazy over these games should be immediately stopped, ive been playin since 7 and of course their is some minor advantages in language lol but other than that nothing different, like ive been sheltered all my life and when i was exposed to real life i was shocked, but now i have learned to deal with it, but i believe their should be a limit in video games, dont lock your self in the comp. 24/7 with no life no social life, nothin!! so you should just do it for fun as another hobby :huh:
Tried that once too...didn't work for me either... Violence is mostly caused by other kids,... Kids who cant ever shut the f*ck up, and cant ever stop bullying other kids,... they're to blame...and nobody else.. Stupid worthless asses :censored: :censored:
You only get violent people (like me) because No one understands what you're going through sometimes and your parents and family think they know everything. or If you're wanting to get revenge.
Im a quiet one, I don't start fights, I don't hurt other people to gain respect or anything. Once there was this big fat person in school, he was being a dick, he obviously thought I was quiet and would just take it. And one day he did something, and I just lost it and hit him.. errm a few? times... I think he was quite shocked.. It was quite fun :lol: You know.. stress relief.
