My backgrounds look faded and not very sharp. Ex. [IMG]

A lot of the sigs i see here have sharp, defined BG's. Ex. [IMG](A sig by Caboose (duh))

Anyone have any feedback on how I can sharpen my bg's?

if u use color balance layers, sometimes enough of them can add contrast as well. especially if u use clouds or difference clouds with a color balane layer

black fuse has a good tutorial on this...

try merging layers copying the resulting thing then going back a few steps and pasting as a new layer and blending
