    Yeah someone posted this before.
They aren't going to " Blow it up. "
All they will do is drop an impactor about the size of a washing machine. "The 820-pound impactor will collide with the comet's nucleus at a closing speed of 37,000 kilometers per hour (23,000 miles per hour). Scientists expect the impact to create a large crater. The impact will eject ice, dust and gas from the crater and reveal the pristine material beneath. The impact will have no significant effect on the comet's orbit, which poses no threat to Earth."

They aren't going to blow anything up.
Don't expect to see fire works.
After the impact the commet might be visible by the naked eye depending on the environment you are in.

ive learned a bit about this in the last few days as i have been at the university in my state for the alst week, it seems that america has broken the treaty that allows missiles to be taken into space. they have made up the idea of this shooting the comet as a kind of diversion for what they are actually testing. by blowing the comet to bits ( its about the size of texas) they are altaring the projectory of it and maybe even sending lots of bits of it straight for earth but that not what im talking about. you see they think that soon there will be a space war, missiles shot into space they then do an orbit around moon to gain tremendous amounts of speed and then come back into the atmosphere taking out russia ( i think thats who they wanna get) and the russians wont know what hit them. they are using the same concept with this commet, they are launching a missile into space it is going around the moon for speed and finally heading off towards the comet, they are not going in the best interest of earth at all they are just trying to test out there theories so when then space war does happen they will be more prepaired then the russians. because of them shooting the missile into space they have broken a treaty nd now the russians chinese and other people will begin also sending missiles into space. this is NOT good not there can be nuclear warehears in space aimed straight at us ready to be launched at any time because of the americans. its a bad idea inmy opinion

I'd rather see them "blow it up" than "inject it".

They aren't blowing it up and aren't taking missles into space.
Its an 820 pound object that's going to hit the comet at over 23 thousand miles per hour making a crater and showing the material inside.
    The trajectory will not change.
You can read it all at nasa's site.

    By the way.
They launched a small craft about the size of a ----ing car. ( don't think that can take out a comet ) inside is a 800 pound block about the size of a washing machine and all it's going to do is make a crater sending dust in the air and showing the material within.
It's all an effort to study what makes up a comet.
Really you need to get your facts straight.

And Bush is an Alien,,,, This sounds like a unneeded conspiracy theory. I am sure that Russia would know first if there is an missile in space.
