Google Bot?

    It's something do to with the ads, don't remember. Look it in the google extras and crap.

    I see google logged in on my site several times a week. not sure what it is but i suppose it crawling to gather info

    read that link, it explains everything

    the googlebot came on its own to collect/gather information for search engines

    Google lists its indexes based on how many links run back to the site, and what info it collects by crawling that site (as it crawls the site, it picks up links to other sites, and thus spins a reference web). I think when "googlebot" shows up here, it's sort of been set up... What I mean is, it hasn't been created, but when the bot comes crawling, the user agent picks it up, and lists it as a member.. I'm guessing it shows up just for reference. :)
