Which Adobe, And From Where. :d

I saw a discussion somewhat similar to this, but I didn't want to newbiefy their thread.

As said, I'm a major newbie when it comes to images, but I have a huge desire to learn what the heck I'm doing. I’m happy to put the dough (or would that be doe?) into whatever program would work best for me, since I know it will pay off in the end.

My question is which adobe would work best for me? I plan on working on sigs/avatars, logos, simple splash page images, and attempting some rendering for the above. Should I just go for cs2 or is there a lower version that would work just as well for my plans?

My second question is where would you recommend I purchase it from? I cruised through e-bay for a while, and found cs2 for 10-20 bucks, but I'm afraid the source isn't legit. They were offering the cd, and the key, but no box and no manual, which makes me nervous.

Any advice on the matter is very appreciated.

 

the only difference cs2 has really is that you can view the type of font other than that i havent noticed much differance.you can download like a 30 day trial of adobe if u want or get the full copy of a shareware program like i did limewires a good shareware program you can find every program you want there.

 

Or you could get it off of a torrent site and save yourself $500ish

But comes with virus' and malware. Torrents are superior in every way. Except speed in some cases.

I've got the trial installed, and liking it. Now I just gotta get the full version.

 

You can buy it at most computer stores. They tend to put them away from the regular shelves or have them in tamper proof boxes so noone can just take the CD's. But you should buy it, it will save you head aches in the long run.

And what they ^^^^^^^^ are telling you to do is ILLEGAL and should not be talked about here.

Yes same here but that is probably because I have been working with it the longest.

 

Same for me , and if you are going to buy it, i suggest v7, it will save u alot more money than if u were to buy cs, or cs2

yea photoshop 7 is one of my favorite the only reason i got cs2 is to see what my text looks like cause i have over 600 fonts !!!!!! lol
