well i have this problem with task manager, when i try to open it i get an error saying this:
"Task Manager has been disabled by your Administrator."
Well here's the story, i'm the administrator and the same thing happened to my dad's pc to. And on both there was a dialer called p2p portal or something. Since that thing my Task Manager wouldn't open. Removed p2p portal but still have the problem. Anyone knows how to reactivate the Task Manager??

Try clicking Run, and typing Regedit. Then find HKCU \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies\ System, double click DisableTaskMgr and set it's value to 0.

Try copy and pasting this in the RUN command

    REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

    Its slighlty different than above.

Let me know how you make out

Also download a free copy of Hijack this and post your log when you get a chance

I can recommend two pieces of software that may be helpful later if something similar occurs. Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy. Together they usually can clean a system completely of any spyware, adware, malware or browser hijacking.
