Why would you need that? Just sent it to auto-login, and make a gMail shortcut to your desktop, much safer... Thunderbird can easily be spywared, and all your eMails WILL eventually be read by some hacker, so yeah, i dun use it.
for gmail you can download this program http://www.incredimail.com/english/splash/splash.asp and make it your gmail account
