I think it would be pretty fun to have some sort of betting system for battles and sotws. Ya know, put down bets (by cred amounts) on who you think will win. It's an extra level of participation for the user that doesn't get to battle, plus you get creds out of it (or not). It doesn't sound too exciting just by my suggestion, but gambling is fun and addictive and I think it could catch on... me and Zero Skill already do it and it's fun as hell... just another form of friendly competition in the battle arena, it really is a blast.

This was thought up collectively by myself, Zero Skill, and Hell. What do you guys think?

Would need some good IPB coding to do that. Not sure if anyone here is good at that stuff.
Also. If this does happen. There has to be a maximum bet. So if someones image is way better than the others. That you dont get and easy 500 credits.
Also, no one else should see your bet. Because during voting people could cheat to win some easy credits.

It may be a good idea. But sounds like a lot of work.

lol thought you were banned cheeky? oh and ummm. It would be a sweet system if it actually works fairly. And, for those who win, do they split the winnings of the losers?

Nah. I think it would work like this.
The winners get credits from the "Bank"(the bank is like what we have now. When we earn credits we get them from no where. I call that no where the bank)
And the losers give their credits to the bank.
    Get it?

It needs an expert coder to make such a big mod, which nobody here could do, i could get it made though by my friend.

Just a matter of finding out how it'd be best set up/worked...and then building the mod to those specifications, and findin' the right variables. Its doable, i'm looking into it=P

I think that would be the easiest, most effective way to do it... though it would be cool if we could actually bet our creds against another user's creds for more of that competition feel.

well technically it is still betting your credits cuz the loser loses credits and the winner gains them and then alos ul always receive your credits even if the loser doesent want to pay :)

Ummm... I think we would just currently earn our money through posting.

Then when we would bet, we put a certain number of creds we wanna bet. So the winners of the bet would be given the money that the losers betted and they would get to keep there own money.

This sounds like a great idea. It couldn't be that hard, I mean, the credit system must have been harder to code than this... and I'm sure the person who made the credit system, could EASILY make this.

    That wouldnt work.
What if the winners of the bet put in more money than the losers? Then the winners dont get their full ammount of credits.
So that way to go is out.

I think the only way is to basicly bet against yourself. If you win, you gain credits from wherever we gain them from for posting.
If you lose, you lose credits and they just go away.

Anyway, if BFTP needs any help on ways to do certain things. Let me know. I can try to help out.
I cant code from scratch very well though. Sorry :(

You don't need a betting "system." You can still bet anyways...
