My computer is a high quality cpu, but a few days ago I noticed that it's not seeing things as clear as it did. For example alot of pictures are starting to look a litttle choppy and pixelated. Also the gamerenders banner on top is starting to look a little smudgy. It didn't look like that before, it always looked at the images FINE! Is there a way I can change this, maybe I lowered something...AHHH!!!!!!!!!! help and I'll raise it to 40 creds
    Edit*
even my icons on my desktop look choppy

Go to your display properties and check out your settings. Something on there might have been lowered. This has happened to me a few times and that was the root of the problem.

try this. minimize everything so you can see your desktop. then right click somewhere in the open space and click properties. Then click the settings tab. near the bottom right you'll see some colors, and just above that you'll see either medium 16-bit or high32-bit. make sure that this is on high. Let me know how that turns out for you

Maybe your Monitor is just losing "cells". It may be that its just losing its power. And it may never be as good as it was again. :(

Or maybe you just lowered your Display Properties.

hm, the quality probably isn't better in that bigger resolution, you probably just cant see it since that's a very big resolution. I would suggest trying to exchange it if you can like thebrotherhood said

I say your GFX card is doing this ----.
Try replacing it(if you have a spare one).
If that doesn't work, check our monitor, it might be losing it's focus.
If it's really old, the color chargers might be off, and that means you need a new one.
If it's an LCD scren, the Liquid Crystals might be out of place, and therefore causing a focus loss, THAT can e fixed...By a professional.
    Hope that helps!

Umm, disconnect the wire from you monitor to your computer and it from your computer also. Make sure its not bent at like a 90 degree angle or its being pinched. Try it again, and set up the pins tighter this time. If it doesn't work, get a new cable and try it.

    ok...
does it do the same thing for a different computer?
    it may be the moniter.
    it may be the cable.
have you updated your drivers lately?

also, to make the screen smaller, right click in open space on desktop > properties > settings > screen resolution. change that to 1024x768.

Does your monitor have an optimal screen resolution?

I have a screen which only really looks good on 1280 by 1024.
Any lower or higher and it looks bad, check the optimal for your monitor and adjust it to that.
