Ok, we all heard the term 'Seeing Is Believing' and that's what's been happing in the world today for that matter. If you think about it, the world today is becoming more messed up, and the best way to sum this up is by the term 'Seeing is Believing'!

Ok, if you walk by your neighbourhood... say... more than twice a day, your guaranteed to have seen some people who thing they've got game but they don't.

Me? I'm 15 years old and I'm just sick of the how the term 'Seeing Is Believing' just dominates our fricking existence! We walk by, seeing wannabe rappers, wannabe gangsters, wannabe rockers. And all of these wannabe's and girl's who think their so glamour because of how they look, they believe they can do anything.

It's just so stupid how the term 'seeing is believing' controls over us, I mean if you think about it, it's the term that supposedly drives us to FAILURE. If we see someone do something that looks impossible, we believe we can do it.

Say that, you watch this Jackie Chan film, and you see him do all these crazy wacko amazing stunts that you don't see everyday, once our minds see this we are driven to believe that we can also accomplish this (not all the cases but most). Now what would happen if we somehow ended up in a street fight? Do you actually think that you can pull of one of those moves?

The media even emphasizes on the term Seeing Is Believing, if they see an accident they believe that it can happen at ANY TIME. They become paranoid by the fact that they believe that this can happen!

I believe, that the term, Seeing Is Believing, is the biggest lie of the planet, it's the lie hidden behind everything, yet it's the message that makes everyone who they are. The greater people in life know this, yo can even ask a very successful person what they think about 'Seeing Is Believing' and you will notice they are similar to views I have right here...

Seeing Is Believing... you know the human boundaries for a man running a 400m race was 4 minutes? People thought that this can't be accomplished. But later on, the next year, 3 other people broke the world record of 4 mintues, to around 3 minuets and so.

They all had one thought in common, they all had the same goal which changed people's views on the world. They all believed that the term 'Seeing Is Believing' as a lie, and that it orinally was 'Believing Is Seeing'.

This very goal can happen to anyone, they believed that if they committed to this, if they change their way they believe, if they believe that they can do anything, they will begin to see changes, they will begin to see improvements.

I know this because it has happened to me at this point of my life, the day i turned 15, which was not so long ago (june 6th) just really sucked for some reason, i had my closest friends whom i've grown up with backstab me. They all thought that I was just too 'stuck up' with myself and such, and then i learned something.

I learned, that with failure comes success. I failed to maintain friendship with these close friends, but i dont know, just a few days ago, i woke up, and it felt different, usually im just too lazy to wake up, but that one day... my eyes shot right open, and i felt 'determined' and now, even though i've lost the friendship of close friends, i've gained much more then you imagined, i even got the most difficult part of my life covered in a few days, 'dating and such' , i was able to have the courage to do things i was not able to do before.

Why? Because now I believed I could make a change, that's where everything came, that's when i saw the improvement, thats when i saw the results i wanted to see...

But enough about me, I'm done babbling, it's your turn now, your discussion about the term Seeing Is Believing, and if you believe it...

Seeing is Believing doesn't mean since they do that I can do it too. It is more of in terms of a witness. Something along the lines of " Wow did that guy just jump 4 feet in the air? I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it", not " Wow did that dude spring up 4 feet in the air? If he can do it, I believe I can do!"

Close but no the same, nice try. :)

Maybe we are on two different paths here, but that is how I interpreted your "essay".

    Just a small (stupid) comment.

I ran the 400m in 50.6 seconds, so you must be talking about the 1600m, or 1 mile.

But yeah...in our world, seeing is almost NEVER believing.

[Nice to see you're still around Ragno...but why are you never on MSN?]

Which is why this philosphy prooves that the head CEO's of MTV and VH1 should be dropped into a pool of acid. And so should all the people in the mainstream; Green day, P diddy, 50 cent, lil john, Gwen Stephanie.. yeah.
