Ipb Banner Change

    Can any1 help me by tellin me how to change the banner on a ipb skin?! :unsure:

    already made it but dont know how to change it!

    in ipb 2.x there's sth called 'easy logo changer' in skins & templates section. I dont know about the earlier version though. If you dont have the changer you can just replace the original banner with your new one. Right click to see the path of your banner, it should be located in the template folder.

    lol i was about to say the easy logo changer doesnt give you the sizes to edit it, forgot its prolly in the template folder. thanks.

    (oh and will resizing this logo have any BAD effects on the skin?)

    It depends.
    More often than not it will not. If you can match the background nicely then it is good. I'd recommend using a 'fixed' skin rather than a 'fluid' (stretch) one since most common issues about logos happen in stretchin skins.

    Go into, style_images >> your skin >> and look for logo4.gif, then change the image and replace logo4.gif, done.

    right click, properties on the current default IPB banner. copy the name. open ure banner and save it under the same name as the IPB default banner.

    open ure ftp, forums/style_images/whatever ure skin is called. then have put ure banner in that section and let it overight the default.
