Well ACTUALLY... when this first started (rendering) we used a program called milkshake which actually rendered it then we just simply took off the background from there. Therefore it was at one point RENDERING.
pen tool, tis waht i use (now) somewhere on this site there's a rendering tut, follow it, it helped me alot
3d rendered images usually dont have a backround, and niether do rendered pictures, so its kinda similar.
i hear that RENDERING is used in graphics work meaning to color in? in like different shades, although u are quite right and put up a compelling arguement. Iuno maybe im just confuzzled. :blink:
lol i had an argument with another guy over this topic on another forum... in his mind the only thing that is called a "render" are things like C4D stuff... guess i just got used to calling cut-outs renders too
