ok look ill explain what i do for my backgrounds (it deosnt work anymore for some reason) you can try it out to understand better

make about 10 layers, put em all black
make the first (bottom / bg) layer vivid light
all the other layers, soft light
then i add some white to the soft light layers, then it make s nice grunge bg when you work with it a bit, when i do it, the white deosnt show up...my background remains black, and if i just color everything white afterwards (caus im pissed and it deosnt work) a lot of red appears all over the place :/ sovle my problem and get 150 creds , thanks

thats easy if you put the layer on soft light nothing will show up with an all black bg. soft light is really just used to re color your sigs or whatever type graphic your trying to make

so can i have the creds now?

Thsi problem happens when you have too much contrast. I have this probably when i have multiple layers of color balance adjustments that overlap on some spots.
