Gift Sigs!

I'm all for gift sigs, but not the way their being given now. It seems like there are ton and tons of gift sigs in the "your stuff" forum. IT's kind of getting on my nerves, weren't they given for better reasons?? Well thats just my though in it. What are urs????

 

I agree, gifts are great, but I think they should be done in PMs. But, I understand why they put in in "Your Stuff" because well... they made them, and want to show them off

 

I personally think it's stupid.
One person gives another person one then that person give the person who gave him the present one.
It's dumb and goes on and on and on.
I like the old fashioned way off say thank you better.

IMO it's too much of a popularity contest.

But its not like that at all...
No one shows of, but people put hard work in gift sigs so if people dont take the time to at least show them then its a waste of time isnt it? You make gift sigs just to say you respect/like that person, or good friends with them offline etc. People can develop internet relationships *Not "Love" relationships obviously* But semi-friend ones. Its never the same because its online but when your online you always need people to talk and a community. Im on another forum, a really bad graphics one and its not mine...the only reason im there is I like the community...so....

 

I'm not against it... I've only been here like 6 hours so far.. haha
but I see alot of it when I was checking out the your stuff board...
I personally don't care what gift you make for someone.
I have been on many forums and this is the first one I have ever seen it on.
If it means that much to someone you would have to let everyone know, the persons response you made it for should be warming enough.

 

I see ur point, and I somewhat agree, but I think gift sigs should be more meaningful than just making 'em cuz u feel like it. Like u said, if u have a friend like relationship with someone, then go for it, I think it's good. But if you make 'em for someone cuz u like their name, or a comment they made, then...I don't think it's worth making one. Also broken, I know ur in a crew, and if u make gift sigs, thats cool no problem., It's a crew, I can understand that

If it means so much to you that it annoys you to see present threads, why not ignore them? If someone wants to make it public that they're giving one, and get feedback on it- I think they have every right to post it in the "Your Stuff" section. There's an easy way to get past the irritation you've fallen victim of- IGNORE IT.

I just said I see it alot... In your mind that means " I get irritated " you must have a small mind then.

It's just over shadowing the real stuff that people actually want rated.

Sorry, just looking back at what you said gave me the basic generalization:

For something you don't care so much about, you sure voice your opinion on it loudly.
