I am looking for a mentor to help me in my sig making. I use photoshop 7. I have been using it for a while now, and not a complete noob at it. I can make sigs, but I want someone to just give me some pointers and some tips that sometimes you don't get from tutorials. I want someone who is really good all around, but I am mostly interested in making grunge and abstract sigs. I want to talk in AIM or MSN messenger. (only two instant messaging services I use ) I live the EST (Eastern Standard Time) zone. I usally am on in the early morning 5:00 - 9:00 and evening 4:30 - 6:00. Roughly thats the times I am on most of the time. If you want to help me and on roughly around the same hours as me, I'm not really picky on who helps me, but I rather see how good you are. So if you want to try and help me, post some of your best sigs here. I will send you a PM if I am interested. Thanks in advance for all who apply.

You have 1 post...no one knows who you are. Plus, why give you the easy route when everyone else had to struggle?

tuts are definetely a great way to learn but if u have any questions thats y we have these forums for help

the best way to learn is through experience but a little guidance is also good...but 2 much is a bad thing

I dont know much, so i cant help. other people, just because you had to struggle doesnt mean that you cant help someone else from struggling.

It's so much easier just to rip other peoples work and claim it as your own.

learn from tuts like they all said. We all have but anyways i will give you my advise. I recomend you start doing grunge and abstract but if I would change anything i did when i started that would be sigs in general. PS is so wide spread dont just stick to sigs. Get into larger art such as wallpapers etc. Dont stick to the common sig size. You can express so much more in large art and also learn alot more.

Then down the line move on to new programs and apply your current knowledge with them. Hope this helps a bit and you take my advise. Good Luck
