ok, I don't quite understand this. Is there something i'm not getting? what is the point of cutting out a render, giving it a bright green or red background, then posting it in the forums in JPG format? it would be just the same as cutting it out from it's original background... right? is there something i'm missing? something to do with my browser, or what? i just don't get it. :|.
SO YOU CAN RATE IT, AND SEE IF TIS CHOPPY OR NOT!, YOU CANNOT SEE IF IT IS CHOPPY IF ITS JUS ON ITS ORIGINAL COLOR
I do it that way so i don't have the quality loss like you would with a gif. And png is too big to host. Sure you have the transparent background but the size is alot bigger than a jpg. Putting the bright off color is so that all you basicly have to do is use the magic wand and select it all and delete it. Sure you might have to ctrl+click the layer to select, then contract 1 pixel, and delete again. But you still have high quality.
push capslock. and you have no idea what you're talking about, lol. renders are to made to be used, not to be rated. well atleast the ones on this site are.
flipz once the render is on a fully one colored bg all u have to do is click the magic eraser a few times..secnd dont flame sumone for replying to ur post, you made the post he gave the answer
^^^^ he means magic wand, with a same color bg you can easily selct the whole background but with different color back grounds you have to take somtimes hundreds of clicks and even then the render it's self looks choppy
well saying that it will be ok if you downsize the cutout JPG worx both ways. you might as well post it in gif with transparent bg cuz that also will look smooth once downsized at least you wont get fugly colorbits in it.
If the render had white on it, and you tried to delete the white bg off it, it would delete part of the render. That's why let's say your render was blue you would make the bg some weird color like lime green.
