    I believe googling will help...

Why don't people just use the search engine?

ok had a look around 4 you & found this maybe it helps??

Go to "system" then "administration" then "networking." Is wireless listed as an option at all? (maybe greyed out or something). If not, well, I bet your card isn't natively compatible. Sometimes card sellers will switch the chips on the inside and not give a clue (what version number is it?). If it is not in networking, then you have to install it with ndiswrapper. Get the driver *.inf file from the card maker and use this howto:

Well, its true that many people just don't search to see if they can find an answer and just question without making any effort.

Looks like you are an exception.

    sorry.

yes thanks you on your reply Dappem i have went to that place u were talking aboutwid my Ethernet car into directly connected into my comp and it did find a connection because ubuntu doesn't have the find the ip or DCHP automatically option.

So I didn’t know my ip or my dchp adress

My network card is net gear warless pc card 32- but card bus <A521 802.11b. 2.4 GHZ.

Yes I don't have the Linux driver or even the windows one for my card so i went to the netgear site but they didn't have it. Also another site wanting me to pay.

I have put my problem on a another form and they mentioned ndiswrapper and this is what he sed.

It was a bit hard for me to follow as it was very technical I think if I can’t do it I will get my sisters boyfriend who is an IT guy to do it for me.

    CYA grechy
