    sigsource can compete.

maybe not by member count but the quality of the members.

the skill level surpasses that of 98% of gr.
also community wise, everyone is great and gives the desired cnc since they all know wtf they are talking about.

quality of quantity my friend [/b][/quote]
i said Biggest not the best.. sig source is a great forum but they have like 885 members :P even though those members are good gr has over 20,000...

It doesnt matter. If people want to open up their own forums, so what? Who really cares. Let them do what they want to do. Most of them wont survive in the long run anyway.

I think the major reason people start design forums is because they see how big gr is, and they think to themselves hey wtf I can do that... but 99% of the time it doesnt work out

thats why BEO died... because when they started, not everyone could make sigs but since then theres like millions of designers now and there was no one to make sigs for..

There's no need to create a new graphics forum...

"Oh hey, I go to this awesome site, but it's too good for me so i'll create my own site that I'll just close down after a little while"

SS is also full of amazingly skilled assholes :)

They don't really treat new members with respect, unless you the wtfhax.

tbh I don't really view GameRenders as a gfx site, it's a renders site and a place where loads of leechers come. I like to post my tuts and renders here but you'd be harded pressed to get quality feedback on your work due to the sheer volume of people who post. So if your looking for comments on gfx I'd go elsewhere.

What makes a site is it's members, if you want to make a decent gfx site you need to have at least 5 or 6 guys who are good at graphics then build from there.

There are too many sites out there who have a low level of graphic ability in them and as a result no one tends to get better because there not honest about each others work. I've lost count the number of times I've gone to sites where people rating ----ty work as nine's and ten's.
