I have a legit xp, and i reformat by changing the bios to load cd first, then i repartition the drive and reinstall xp. I was wondering whether there was a limit to doing it a number of times.

well, if you don't mind calling microsoft everytime you re-install, why not?

if you're not allowed to do so, then that will be really unfair.

you cant do it as many times as you want.... if you reformat like 8 times, the activation expires but all you have to do is call them and they give you a new one

    ???

    you mean you lost it?

cos you don't need a new cd key to re-install Windows, you only need your old one.
