LINK! This is a very interesting find, I might try doing this when my brother gets home, and when I do, ill give you guys the results.
Nice find, And you can uninstall SP2. But honestly most people wont use the extra features enough to try and hack some of the registry keys, Which if you do the wrong thing, you can seriously mess up your machine. Plus when you download some updates, it will more than likely revet back to Home edition.

This whole paragraph basically states it is illegal to do this. "There is one big drawback, though. Users won't be able to install Service Pack 2, unless they integrate SP2 in the installation CD. And that's probably too much trouble for most users, who of course are better off buying a legal version anyway. It is expected that Microsoft will change the setup files soon to prevent this hack." Don't know if I would try it..... then a gain I get free software because I'm part of the microsoft academic alliance, so I wouldn't need to anyway.
