Bf42 Help

    Some Of You May Be Familiar with BattleField 1942 So I Decided to Try Here

    My BattleField 1942 Wont Even Start :(

    ---------------------------------------------
    Ok I Bought the BF42 WWII Anthology Set, and i installed BF42. Then I Went To Run the Game and it sits there and loads, the screen goes black like its goin in the game.Then It Gives me that "Error" Sound on my Comp. and goes to my desktop.

    Does Anyone know how i can fix this ? Plz Reply If U want My dxdiag Info or anthing

    Check the system requirements. It might be that the game might also be corrupted or your computer isnt as good as it should be.

    Same problem for me before.
    I clicked BF to open, and it took forever to load. Stayed at black screen for 20 mins, then froze at EA screen.
    I updated , Dx 9.0 drivers, graphics card.( I think i mighta bought a new gfx card at that time)

    Oh yeah!* you can delete the intro movies. got to your BF folder (C:/Program Files/bf foldername/movies) dont know direct directory not on my comp. and delete the 2 movies there. Then you should be able to get o nthe menu and tweak the game to lower settings if you have a crappy system.

    Now,
    Post your system specs, and try updating your drivers.(The game as well if there is a new patch out)

    WOW THNX im gonna reinstall and try deletin those movies :)

    Yo This Comp Is "HORRIBLE" im serious , its all 5 yr old stock lol but i posted the comp im getting ;)

    i reinstalled and deleted movies and the thing will wont start :lol:


    btw any other suggestions on where to buy a comp

    so far i got

    and this newegg one , but i dont know how to build it physically. :blink:

    i think ur comp jus might now hav enough space or video card etc. or ur comp is out of date

    Well I guess you arn't concerned about it atm since you're getting a new comp soon?

    Yes im getting a Gaming PC in about 2 weeks. Thanks for all the help :)

    If the graphics card is low, try lowering your desktop resolution before running the game, then when the game loads - set the in game resolution to the same as your desktop settings.

    I had this problem and it fixed my issue, may help others.
