Ok so it's 5 creds to anyone who's generous enough to teach me how to colour balance things properly (ie. Multi-colour things). Or even if you link me to a good tut. As long as I learn how to do it, then the 5 creds (+ tip if I'm feeling generous) are yours. Thanks
Ermm... theres no "correct" way to use color balance. Just play around with the shadow, midtone, and highlight settings until you get a good result. Sorry to not be of more help, but I really don't think there is anything to be taught in terms of using color balance. It all depends on what you're using it on.
Don't forget the color balance layer is only applied to what is under it, i made that mistake several times before i fully understood how to use it. If you still have problems doing it on you're own try searching good-tutorials,pixel2life,purephotoshop, and any other good photoshop tutorial sites
Make a few color-balance layers (different colors) and on all of them except the bottom one do Filter > Render > Clouds (make sure you have black and white as default)
i used trances multicolouring tut at socom central. it is a really nice tut. what u do is. when you want to multicolour it pick the colour you want and make a new layer and fill it. set that layer to colour. then make a new layer with a different colour and fill that in and set it to coloutr. now get a grunge brush on eraser and rub out the second layer so the first one shows through. do this as many times you want until you get the effect you are looking for. colour brushing is what i find the best.... just cntrl click the layer you want to colour, then make a new layer above it and colour it, keep the other layer still selected, and it will onl colour on top of that layer
