might be able to help...

i got the same mod as you guys IBStore and it came with the credits well how do i get the donate button to show up? i didnt know where to post this.. if this doesnt fit here please move but help me!

 

hmm idk ask BFTP he does alot of work with ipb

 

have to edit the files to add that part in...under skin_topic.php i believe. I'll double check

 

You need to edit skin_topic.php in your IPB /skin directory.

 

Theres an easier way, go into admincp >> skin manager >> {select Skin} >> Root Skin Html >> Topicview >> RenderRow >> and then beneath '{$author['member_points']}

Thats why i originally opened my IPB shop, to learn more about IPB and fix it, and now consider myself a IPB god, to the point where the only next step is to begin making my own mods. Which i plan on trying this summer,

Well your roughly at about the same level as me, although ive made one mod so far Just a simple SOTW mod but its still cool.

 

when making mods do you start out with raw php code? or can you use a program to generate code?

 

Not sure what you mean, but you usually begin by editing another mod/altering it for use for another board version for example, and then eventually begin starting from scratch with just an original idea.
