I consider it art, I dont really care what you thin, just as other people dont care about my opinion...
People seem to like it,and I didnt use my own render because my pc sucks and I am restrained from making abstracts ,

It depends, a signature can be a pasted together peice of crap, or a sig can be a 350x150 masterpeice. Its like doing a painting on a small canvas, you really need quality for something very small to look great.

EDIT: yes a sig can be art, but it is not really look at by arts schools. I tryed out for an arts school last year (i got in) but during the interview they didnt even really give the sigs i made a second glance.

Right let me just state my opinion, and understand its my own opinion agree or disagree I dont really care.

Personally I vote yes, why? Well let me tell you.

Personally if you think about it, art is whatever the viewer finds as art. So if one person thinks its art and another thinks it aint then who is right? Well they both are why? Well its all down to the person looking at the piece wether they can see something in it.

In one post when I was reading about this in another topic someone said that if you want to see art go to a museam or gallary, well that person is wrong. Personally all I have to do is look around me, isnt architecture art, aint people art in a way? Personally I like to think so.

Peoples views on art differ so get over it, take this for an example some murderers actually think what they are doing is an art form not murder and well if you thought about it, it might be. Another example would be that some generals out there in the army feel that war is an art form, the way everything comes together.

Now to wrap it all up I feel anyone can find art in something so just because you don't see the art that someone else sees, dont insult them or tell them its not true. Just look at the art you like and take pleasure in that, afterall they might not see art the way you do, and neither of you are wrong.

ok, lets get this straight sigs ARE art.

    what is art?

art is an creation from human beings, not nature. A technique or craft of one. art is an ability, nonscientific subjects.

art ranges from poetry to sigs, to anything- the shape of your house, the desogn on your blanket, the trophy u have in your oom, the colro of your cupholder.

sig are art- just not high classed- doubt they can be sold or anything because of their relativly small size but thay are art non the less.

anyone wanna argue this? please post ur opinion, i wanna see why people things sigs are not art.

you guys think taking a picture and changing the colors and adding blur is photomanipulation, so I highly doubt you know what vector is.

And no, a lot of sigs aren't art.

I'll say... 98% of signatures made online are not works of art.

Like that guy said before, art is in the eye of the beholder. Get a piece of paper and scribble on it with a pen. If you think that looks good then its art. It dosent matter how its made, you could consider the shape of a letter on your screen art! I see the painted picture of mona liesa (i don't know how to spell her name) as nothing, its not art just a man that painted a picture of a woman. Then other people look at it and think that its the best thing they could ever see. Art is all in the eye of the beholder, if you consider it art then it is.

Art has to adhere to the principles of design, by your view, I could say a piece of ---- is art, but we all know its not, its a piece of ----.
