This Tutorial does need some expeirence in Photoshop 8.0
This tut is long and for a beginner type

Ok First go new and create a new page at the dimensions 400x150 pixels

Click D to set your color pallete make to default black and color the entire backround black

Now for this sig i will be using abstract brushes, i get all my brushes from deviantart.com, hes a good set that i use http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/18215785/
Just click download to your desktop then put them in the brushes folder

Make a new layer and being brushing lightly over the sig, try not to use the same brush twice

Make another New layer, and pick a different color usally the same color but make it more lighter and greyer, and lower the opacity of your brushes to 35% and brush again lightly, set the blending on this layer as color dodge.

Your signature should of lightened up some from your last layer of light brushing, it shoudl beging to resemble something like this:

Make a new layer again , and set your brush opacity at 10% and make your color white, brush over the sig again making it even more lighter, set the blending on this layer to color burn

Now for the next part make a new layer, and set the blending on this layer to overlay, and completly cover your sig in a color which is darker then your main backround color:

Now take your eraser and set it at 100% opacity, and have it in mode brush, and put your eraser as on of the brushes you downloaded and erase brush your solid layer untill you get something like this:

Now find a render(Picture) of your choice and cut it out and put it on your sig like this:

Then hold down Ctrl+Shift and click U, which will de-saturate the render.

Then take your lasso tool and make a circle around the part of the render you want most seen like this:

And click on add layer mask on your layer pallete
    [IMG]

The render should blend in with the backround a bit

For the blending on the render layer i put it on Linear light but all renders are different so you can put it on what ever setting you want

Now on your layer pallete go Creat new fill or layer adjustment which looks like a circle with one side dark one side light, and go to the following things: Color Balance, Brightness and Contrast, and Hue/Saturation.

You can fool around with it fromt here and change the colors as u want fit.
This is what i got after i fooled around with it for a while.

I then added text and a border but i cant show u hwo i did that or it would take alot longer, A good font site where i get my fonts from is dafont.com

    This was my end result:

Sorry for this Tutorial being so long, you can use this tutorial to keep working adn improving on signatures

    Nice tut, just 2 suggestions.

    1. Get Mozilla Firefox. It's better and safer than IE.
    2. Hide your P2Ps. ;)

That's a good tutorial, especially for beginners. I'm sure it helped a lot of people.

That's some good advice about hiding the P2Ps. lol I don't use them though.

Nice tutorial, it's easy to follow and easy to do. For a newbie like me, I think I can probably do that. :)
