i think there should be a Gr Welcoming Committee...this could be a group that welcomes people to gr because if you look at the intro section most of them get 1 or no welcomes and thats kinda not right i dont know this just struck me

    ~Just a Idea~

It's up to the members of Game Renders to take the time
To check and reply to post's in the intro section
ThereFor the whole of the Gamerenders Community is the Welcoming Committee

Yes, it is up to the whole community of GR to take their time to reply to introductions. However, a while a go, replies were disabled from that forum because so many people were just saying something like ''Hi, welcome to Gamerenders'' and doing this with every topic. So it was getting spammed up for creds.

It is an understanding that, to attract new people, it would be nice to be welcomed, but we cannot force anyone to welcome someone if they do not want to. And a team specially for just saying hello, which they will probably copy for every topic, is kind of stupid. Not only would they be getting credits and gaining posts, but if there is only one team in particular, this would be a disadvantage on other members who may like to welcome people.

With the spam control installed, we could, however, disable the credits you would receive from that forum.

If this is the case, does anyone think it is worth keeping the introduction section?

would be nice if newcomers would have to read the GR Starterskit thread or some sort of FAQ before being able to see anything else...

reduce the repitition of questions <_<

I for one am in favor of keeping the Intro forum. It keeps newcomers from spamming up the General Discussion area, and keeps members from spamming the GD with "Hi welcome to GR" and such. :)

Exactly. I agree wtih Bona Fide 100% on that one. Furthermore, I could see taking it out if no one posted there, but there are actually a lot of new people who post there and enough veterans who welcome new users.
