most DSL runs under 40 nowadays, DSL is cheap though- technically it IS narrowband, cable is what I have and I like it. I have AT&T broadband and it runs about 40$ before modem rental. Only band thing about it is that it is a shared line not a dedicated one, then again almost noone has cable around here so I am fine...

Providers also depend on where you live. I live in Houston and use Roadrunner. Helps if we know where you live to pin point a provider.

If you can, go with Cable cuz DSL, while faster than dial-up, is still slow

SBC YAHOO - Sure to cause some problems on your bill after your 1st years contract. They will offer a 2nd year one, then offer more offers whic harn;t bad, but they have made us pay double our internet fee's, then they send the offers. I am on the fastest speed(3mpbs download, 256k UploaD) and no down delay, maintenance is awlays at night(1-6am) Site is help.sbcglobal.net or sbc.com i think :X

Verizon- True, cheap, sounds good. but how reLiable? they are new so they might not be all based up yet. Just check out stuff first with them. or if a friend has it.

Comcast- Don't get it, good price for the connection speeds, but my freind complains all the time while playing comes,(constant lag outs)

the DSL I have is like cable, not like its going to go faster if I have the same speed but Cable. But yeah IMO its all the same :P
