Does the latest version of limewire, I think 4.8.1, have spyware or ANY nasty things bundled with it that you don't want? If you're a limewire user, some answers would be much appreciated. The official site claims there are no spyware bundled with it, but I dunno, I know better than to trust an "official" site.

Limewire users, have you guys had any spyware or adware or trojan or virus problems related to Limewire?

well i use limewire occasionally but i havent found anything that relates to spyware or trojan to the software directly... what you should watch out for is things you are downloading. Don't download a game thats only 112 kb or so, that's just a fake file that probably contains a trojan, spyware, or something included. But related to Limewire, i dont think there are any trojans/spyware/adware involved...

So you guys basically have clean comps with limewire?

The site is the official site, www.limewire.com

I'm a security freak, so forgive my paranoia.

And I heard of something else called aqualime, but if limewire is spyware and adware free as you guys say it is, then I'll just stick with lime =/
