Installing New Fonts

i know that what u have to do is open up control pannel, go to the fonts folder and jsut drag them in there, but the problem is im not an administrator on this computer, does anyone know anyway i could install them without administrator privalges

 

Did you try going to My Computer>Local Disk (C>Windows>Fonts. Then drag the font file into that, you shouldn't need administrative powers.

have you zipped the fonts you downloaded

 

i extracted them and then drug the extracted text file into the text folder

 

To make yourself a computer administrator log onto whoever on your pc is click Start>User Acounts( Windows Xp)> Click back untill you cant click it anymore>Click on your acount name>Change acount type>Computer Administrator. Try that let me know if it works.

 

misunderstood, the prob is my dad is the admin and he put a pw block on his acccount cuz he dont want me installin stuff that puts viruses so now i cant do anything and he dont let me install fonts

 

well then you can't install fonts b/c ur dad is the admin and he won't let u...only if ur dad allows permission then u'll be able to or until get ur own system

All i have to do is drag and drop on my other pc and im not an admin on that pc

 

it took me like 2 mouths after i started using ps to learn how to instal.

 

Google NT offline passoword cracker. Burn it to a disk and change the admin password!!!

But then you have to deal with the DAD, whipping your behind for messing with his machine for fonts. Or hey ask him to install some fonts for you...

 

I bet your dad would let you install a font.... did you even ask him? -_-;
