It's kinda hard to explain... Do you know anything about it to begin with? Or do you just think you can click some buttons and BLAAAM, your computer's overclocked?

Overclocking isn't generally recommended unless you're running water through your PC to cool it. If you're not into opening up your case or sticking in a whole new cooling system and stuff, you could search over at VersionTracker for software that tweaks your clock speed.

Overclocking is uping the voltage to ur computers components for better performance. When u do up the volts, the parts get heated and thats why he ^ suggested for water coolers only. Plus, theres a chance of damaging the components if u dont know wat ur doin...

Yip, I wouldn't reccommend you to overclock...I tried once without realizing the danger and had my CPU friend :(

Depends on what you wanna OC. I recommend OCing you Grahics card specially if you got a nVidia one, cause those are more adapt for OC, then ATI cards. I recommend that you download RivaTuner, which is a great tool for overclocking.
However if you gonna OC you procceser if requires so knowledge, try www.guru3d.com as a starter and read some topics there.
