havin' some trouble blending your renders as wel as others do?

    try layer masks.

    layer>add layer mask>reveal all

    what is is?

A layer mask is attachign another layer onto a layer. You paint either white or black onto the mask. Black, of course, takes parts of the image otu of view, while white brings part of the image into view.

You can use a black grunge brush on a layer mask to get some great texture on a render in a signature, or whatever.

Once you get comfortable with layer masks you can do a lot with them.

    for example:

in this image i used a layer mask to keep the female out of the photo manipulations i did, to make her stand alone as black and white in the vivid background.

Remember, if you mess up on your layer mask and brush too far into the render, don't just go back in your history, brush white onto where you messed up, and who knows, you might end up with something better than you anticiapated!

...umm...my first tut...rep if you like it. comment plaease.
