I like Kingdom Hearts, even though it is intended for action loving kids (I guess, since it is Disney stuff), I also liked Final Fantasy advanced, and some FF ps1 games...
I know a free online RPG game called Era Online 2, but it has been offline since last year due to its new version release, and it seems the staff is sure taking a while to make...
A decent one is Anarchy Online. You can download the entire game, and register for free. I recently got Guild Wars, all I can say is that it owns.
i've heard guild wars is good... star wars galaxies seems like a good game too for the small amount that i've played of it
Definately World of Warcraft. There is so much "stuff" available and since its so new, content patches are coming out pretty steadily, which adds even more fun. If your looking for a good RPG, get WoW. WoW > everything else Ive played.
elderscrolls. hard to get good but once you do its pretty cool, only downfall after you die you gota make a new char unless save.
Totally depends on the platform. Computer: I've played Ragnarok and that is cool. Ragnarok Free to download and $12 a month to play. Marrowind is my favorite on PC. WoW and Guild Wars are probably better, but I haven't played them. PS2: Final Fantasy X is the best RPG I've ever played. PS1: FF7 and FF9 are classic. Chrono Cross and Legend of Dragoon are good also. SNES: Crono Trigger and FF3 are still tons of fun. Also Breath of Fire 2 and Mario RPG are lots of fun. These can be downloaded as ROMS for free.
Offline: Final Fantasy, Knights of the Old Republic Online: Guild Wars, so much better than WoW, and you don't need to pay monthly fees like WoW.
3american 6 japanesse... and I agree with you those two are my favorite FFs, though so much of 9 is ripped from 3
