OK, well I go into change some of the settings on my graphics card, and guess what. CATASTROPHIC FAILURE, yep my graphics card kaput, artifacts all over the screen (running in my processor now). Well seeing as my old nVidia Geforce 4 MX 4200 is broken I decided to come here to ask advice on which one to get next. I'm looking to spend about £100, so all suggestions are greatly appreciated. I myself was looking at a nVidia geforce 6600GT.

Yea the 6600gt looks like a pretty good card, Id also look into the ATI - RADEON 9250 Graphics Card it looks like a pretty good deal for your money.

The radeon 9250 is old wont run hl2 etc.
    either the 6600 or 6800 Nivida or a ATI 850 or a Radeon 9800.

I was looking at the Radeon 9800 as well, but I prefer nVidia. I'll probably get the 6600 unless I ca afford the 6800
