    This is probably just me but I hate it when people say "Look at my render its awesome" or "my first render". What makes something a render? Is it the actual image or is it just the crop? If youre the one that actually made the image then holy crap, youre awesome. But if you took the five minutes it takes to use the lasso tool as crop the image and say look at my awesome work, then STFU! I also hate when people say they need to request to use a so called "render". Hell, if someone wanted to use they could just go and crop it themselves. They should be asking permission of the from the person who made the original not the person who cropped (not render) it.

    I'll "render" an image under 10 minutes with the eraser tool. Its not that hard to cut things out, thats why adobe created the extract filter.

    And I agree with him, if your waiting around to ask permission to use something that belongs to noone but the original artist, than your a dink, simply right click and save as, its not the persons job to say who and who can't use something they cut out, they don't have any legal right to the image.

    I'm not saying that I hate any of you or I hate the work that you do. I'm trying to say, don't go prancing around saying you made an awesome render. My good friend dictionary.com defines a render as "To convert (graphics) from a file into visual form, as on a video display". Game renders as a website fits the title because inside this website I can find actual game renders. But these renders are taken off another website and then cropped leaving only the subject of that image. Im not saying this is what happens all the time but I see a lot of "I rendered this image and it is awesome and I think its premium."
    1. You most likely didn't render that image
    2. You most likely cropped that image
    3. Anyone can make a premium cropping if they zoom in close enough and use the polygonal lasso tool.

    What I would like to see (which I have in a couple cases and to those I applaud thee) is "I cropped some images for anyone to use so that if you liked this render you can save time by just using this cropped form. And you don't need to ask permission to use it because I realize that if anyone else wanted it that then they could also spend the time to crop it"

    I'm with him on this, renders aren't that hard if you put the work into it. Yet, in some cases it may take a long, in which you might give them credit (not the currency here) for doing it for you.

    anyone who knows anything about photoshop can easily crop, but to cut out part of an image and make it look like it belongs to be there without its background is harder, gotta have perfect edges and all. this is just from what ive seen though, ive never made a render before

    It makes perfect sense. If you take your time, and put effort into what you're doing then it isn't hard to render. On the most part I make my own cut-outs, however there is a few times where I don't feel like cutting anything out. Then I do pay to have someone cut them out in the render requests area.

    Also, the shouldn't really be called renders. Rendering is something you do in C4d, Milkshape, Photoshop, ect.. Where you actually make the image yourself. Render just has became a easier word to use than cut out. (I am a victim of the word myself.)

    EDIT: Stupid spelling mistakes. :shock;

    Is this kid complaining because what we define as rendering, is not actually the dictionary term?
